Miss Intensus salutes at Morphettville
Having some good form, including a fourth place behind Exceed And Excel filly Sabie in the Listed Pewsey Vale Stakes back in March, two-year-old Hard Spun filly Miss Intensus became the ninth southern hemisphere-bred winner for her sire when recording a length-and-a-quarter victory at Morphettville on July 19.
Bred by Sirron Enterprises Pty Ltd, Miss Intensus is out of the Success Express mare Expediency and comes from the South Australian family of G1 Goodwood Handicap winner Marstic and the G3-winning, G2 placed Bella Serata. The dam of one winner from one to race, Expediency is currently in foal, carrying a full-relation to Miss Intensus.
Already the sire of 21 Stakes winners internationally including last start G1 Mother Goose heroine Zo Impressive and the G2 Superlative Stakes winner Red Duke, Hard Spun has been represented by some pretty smart southern hemisphere-bred juveniles including the three-time winner Little Ms Hotshot, the unbeaten Axle and Crystal Web, the half-brother to Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily.
A winner of the G1 King’s Bishop Stakes during a stellar career which amassed seven wins, Hard Spun will stand the forthcoming season at Darley’s Northwood Park for $16,500 (inc. GST).
