Streets ahead!

It was a St. Patrick's Day victory for Street Sense three-year-old Street Life, who earned his first Stakes win in Aqueduct's Listed Broad Brush Stakes over 1700m. The colt was a strong Maiden Special Weight winner last time out at Aqueduct for trainer Chad Brown, and this second victory in a row brings even more excitement for his future.

Sent off at 9-5, Street Life began the race in fourth about four lengths off the leader. The colt remained in position until the home run where he moved along the outside to take the victory at the end. Hard Facts, by fellow Darley stallion Hard Spun, finished third.

Bred by Mueller Thoroughbred Stable, Ltd, Street Life is out of the Grindstone mare Stone Hope. The mare is a half-sister to multiple Graded Stakes winner and G1-placed Brilliant. The colt hails from the family of G1 winners Furiously and Dancealot.

Street Sense, an outstanding son of Street Cry, is the only horse to ever complete the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile - G1 Kentucky Derby double. In addition to Street Life, he is the sire of G3 winners Castaway and Motor City, as well as G1-placed filly Miss Netta thus far from his first crop of runners. Darley's Hard Spun and Street Sense are currently one-two on the US sophomore sire list.

Street Sense will have a strong draft of 12 yearlings on offer at the forthcoming Inglis Easter yearling sale, including colts out of the G1 winner Old Money (lot 307) and the G3-winning Lucky Diva (lot 255).
