Dawn Approach’s first runners are flying at the moment and on Tuesday, 12 September he added a fourth winner in seven days when his son Morning Wonder was the game winner of the 1600m novice at Leicester.
Always prominent under Ryan Moore, Morning Wonder built on his promising debut last month (where he was beaten just a neck) and held off the late challenge from Future Score (Cape Cross) to win by three quarters of a length.
Morning Wonder becomes the seventh winner out of the Stakes-winning Barathea mare Mount Elbrus, who is from the same family as Invincible Spirit and is also dam of Listed winner Lava Flow.
Dawn Approach is now sire of eight individual winners and four Stakes horses including G2 filly Mary Tudor and Group-placed duo Fast Approach and Dawn Delivers.
Dawn Approach stands at Kelvinside at a fee of $22,000 inc GST.
