Street Sense was the sire of a sixth winner September 10 in a Maiden Special Weight at Belmont Park. Two-year-old Aubby K was sharp in her debut going five and one-half furlongs, taking the race by a head turning 15 lengths.
Aubby K showed some early speed on the outside and knocked heads for the lead. Taking command of the lead she had plenty left and opened up on competitors in the stretch to certainly prove best.
Aubby K is out of the Capote mare Lilly Capote, who was a winner of the G3 Golden Rod Stakes at Churchill Downs. The mare has also produced Graded-placed runners Mythical Pegasus as well as Stakes-placed America's Storm. She was bred by James C. Spence.
Street Sense, a fantastic son of Street Cry, is the sire of six winners to date. These juvenile winners include effortless Saratoga winner Miss Netta, wire-to-wire winner Motor City, and convincing Arlington maiden winner Sweet And Lowdown, among others. A Champion Juvenile, Street Sense is the only horse to ever complete to G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile - G1 Kentucky Derby double.
Street Sense stands the southern hemisphere breeding season at Darley Kelvinside for $38,500 (inc GST), along side Street Cry at $110,000 (inc GST).
