Premio Cancelli victory adds a tenth career win for Gamgoom
Gamgoom, a four-year-old son of Exceed And Excel, certainly knows where the winning post is and on Sunday 20 September he won his tenth race, and fifth straight, in a 17 race career.
Stepping up in class to Listed level, the German raider had already been victorious in his native land and Belgium this season, and running over five furlongs, he won the Premio Cancelli at Milan.
Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock, Gamgoom is a son of the Group-placed juvenile Danidh Dubai (Noverre), who herself is a half-sister to three other Stakes performers including Profitable, winning of this season’s Listed Westow Stakes at York.
Exceed And Excel has now sired 50 Stakes performers in 2015, with 22 of these winning at Listed level or above. Among his recent stars are Helmet’s full-sister Pearls, who won the G2 Tea Rose Stakes yesterday at Randwick.
