Miss Netta, a two-year-old daughter of G1 Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense, was stunning in her debut at Saratoga August 27.
During the 1200m race Miss Netta streaked right to the front to set a strong pace. Under a hands and heels ride from Rajiv Maragh the filly maintained the lead throughout and cruised to an effortless victory.
Bred by Ellenay Racing Inc., Miss Netta is a half-sister to Dyna Da Wyna and Leroy's Dynameaux, both Graded Stakes winners, as well as Graded-placed New Joysey Jeff. She is out of the Dynaformer mare Dyna Peak.
First-season sire Street Sense is the only horse to ever complete the G1 Breeders's Cup Juvenile and G1 Kentucky Derby double. An Eclipse Champion, the son of Street Cry is responsible for five winners from his first crop thus far. In addition to Miss Netta, they are I Sense Your Luck, Motor City, Street Hunter, and Sweet And Lowdown.
Street Sense, who will have his first southern hemisphere crop of runners later this year, stands at Darley Kelvinside for $38,500 (inc GST), along side Street Cry at $110,000 (inc GST).
