Paradee maintained a sparkling run of form to add another Stakes win to her record and that of her sire Epaulette with a determined win in Saturday’s G2 Peter Young Stakes at Caulfield.
The victory was her third in succession, her sixth overall and her second at Stakes level.
Always in contention outside the leader, Paradee rolled to the front at the 250m and defied every attempt to run her down, scoring by a half-length from Shared Ambition with Homesman a short-half head further away in third place.
Paradee had already become one of Epaulette’s 15 Stakes winners with her win in the G3 Alexandra Stakes at Moonee Valley. She is also G2 placed.
She is the foal of the Medaglia d’Oro mare Icy Heels to race and was purchased by her owner Robert Anderson for $240,00 at the 2018 Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling sale.
Icy Heels is out of the Chilean-bred mare Lady Cat and is a half-sister to the Listed Randwick winner Law.
