Exceed And Excel's four-year-old colt Nideeb was a Stakes-winning juvenile, and also a Listed winner as a three-year-old, but he recorded his first Group success here on his seasonal reappearance.
In his first start in Group company, the Clive Brittain-trained runner showed an excellent turn of foot in the straight to forge two lengths clear at the 200m mark, and held on to win by over a length.
Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock, Nideeb is the second foal out of the In The Wings mare Mantesera - a full sister to G1 performer Cloud Castle and a half-sister to multiple G1 winners Warrsan and Luso.
Exceed And Excel has had an excellent juvenille season in the southern hemisphere with eight indiviudal Stakes performers so far, highlighted by Stakes winners Anevay, Chinchilla and Rebel Call, while Aerobatics finished a game third in the G2 Magic Night Stakes earlier in the day to book herself a possible tilt at the G1 Goloden Slipper in a weeks time.
Exceed And Excel has 17 yearlings catalogued for the Inglis Easter yearling sale which starts on April 5, highlighted by colts out of G1 winners Hasna, Carry On Cutie, One Under and Rose Archway.
