Exceed And Excel is renowned for his talented two-year-olds and on 31 October, he added a new Group-winning juvenile to his record when his daughter Aboulie took the seven-furlong Prix Miesque at Maisons-Laffitte.
In taking the G3 contest by a short head, she was recording her second consecutive Black type victory, having won the Listed Prix Saraca at the same course last month.
Aboulie was bred by Haras d'Etreham, Pontchartrain Stud and Riviera Equine S.A.R.L. and is out of the winning Indian Ridge mare Anja, herself a half-sister to G1 winner Anabaa Blue. They are from the family of the great Urban Sea.
Exceed And Excel has sired no fewer than 25 individual Stakes winners this year, including G1 winner Flamberge and Coventry Stakes winner and G1 Middle Park Stakes second Buratino.
