Running in the Epsom Derby-wining colours of Shaamit, Absolute Music became the third winner for Consolidator at Goodwood in the UK on Monday.
The filly, trained just outside Newmarket by Robert Cowell for Khalifa Dasmal, was making just her second start at five furlongs (1000m) having finished second on debut at Ascot on 9 May.
Absolute Music was bred by Gibraltar Group LP and purchased by her trainer at Keeneland’s September Yearling Sale for $95,000. She is out of the Souvenir Copy mare Allegro Lady and joins Solid Lunar and Dp The Facilitator as a northern hemisphere first-crop winner for her sire.
Her victory followed that of Tomball on Friday, a son of Consolidator's fellow first-season sire Offlee Wild and bred like both stallions' first winners by the highly successful Heiligbrodt Stable. The colt is out of Graycious Dancer, by Robyn Dancer.
Five-year-old Blues Street (Street Cry) landed back-to-back victories when winning the Listed Memorial Day Handicap at Mountaineer Park. The Harriet Finkelstein-bred gelding has been a consistent performer and has won or placed in ten of his 13 starts.
