Mix And Mingle, a four-year-old daughter of Exceed And Excel, won her first Stakes contest on Saturday 13 May when running out the very easy winner of the G3 Chartwell Fillies’ Stakes at Lingfield Park. Coming into the race on the back of a decisive handicap win at Newmarket, she was given a very canny ride by Ryan Moore in the seven-furlong contest, being kept away from main field near the favoured stands-side rail, before running on really well to beat the multiple G1-winner Qemah decisively by two-and-a-quarter lengths.
Bred by Deerfield Farm, she is a daughter of the winning Dalakhani mare Mango Lady, who herself is a half-sister to the Royal Ascot G2-winner High Accolade.
There have been eight runners for Exceed And Excel out of Dalakhani-mares, six of which have won (75%) with Mix And Mingle becoming his third Stakes performer (38%).
Mix And Mingle is Exceed And Excel’s 20th Stakes performer of 2017 that includes Mr Stunning, Morawij and Folkswood, all of whom have performed with credit at the top level this season. He is standing this coming season at a fee of $110,000 Inc GST.
