Emanate boosted her stud value and gave Australian racing and breeding legend Lonhro another Stakes winner on Saturday, 19 March when she bolted away with the G3 Birthday Card Stakes over 1,200m at Rosehill Gardens in Sydney.
Godolphin Australia head trainer James Cummings was pleased with the mare’s performance.
“We were gradually improving her fitness and she had a really good base coming into today. She trained unbelievably during the week…she’s a beautiful sprinter. When she gets these sorts of conditions it’s right in her sweet spot,” Cummings said.
Out of the former champion filly Guelph, who won six Stakes races including four at G1 level, Emanate beat Marboosha and Steinem by nearly five lengths.
The James Cummings-trained five-year-old joined Encryption as Stakes-winning progeny of Guelph, who was served last September by Darley Australia shuttle stallion Too Darn Hot.
Emanate has now won six races and been placed six times from 19 starts for prize money of $325,540.
