Haddaf, from the first-crop of 2,000 Guineas hero Dawn Approach, notched his first Stakes victory on Saturday, 16 June when landing the Listed Scurry Stakes over five furlongs at Sandown Park. Already a course and distance winner earlier in the year, he made his move a furlong from home to win with plenty to spare, in the process winning his fourth career race.
He is out of the G1-performing juvenile Deveron (Cozzene) who has already produced a Stakes winner in Lamar (Cape Cross), winner of the Listed Fleur De Lys Stakes at Lingfield Park.
Dawn Approach has now sired three Stakes winners this season with G3-winning filly Musis Amica, who lines up in tomorrows G1 Prix de Diane, and Stakes-winner Mary Tudor completing the trio. He will be standing this coming season at a fee of $19,250 Inc GST.
