Sacred, a high-class daughter of Exceed And Excel, stamped her class on the G3 Chartwell Fillies’ Stakes on Saturday, 13 May when winning by over two lengths.
The winner of the G2 Hungerford Stakes in 2021, the consistent mare has now won or finished second in nine of her 13 career starts.
Owned and bred by Cheveley Park Stud, Sacred is a daughter of the Blame mare Sacre Caroline, a half-sister to US Champion Lady Eli.
Exceed And Excel has sired 209 career Stakes winners including 107 that have won at Group level. They include outstanding performers Bivouac, Microphone and Overreach in Australia plus Mawj, the winner of the G1 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket last weekend.
