The recent Australian racetrack prominence achieved by the stock of Medaglia d’Oro is being reflected in Tuesday’s first session of the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale in Sydney.
Among the former shuttler’s earliest offerings, Lot 14, a filly out of the Encosta de Lago mare Flame Of Sydney, is setting the standard for her sire, making $420,000.
The filly offered by Newgate Farm is a half-sister to the good Hong Kong sprinter Notlistenin’ome and to Invader, the joint champion colt of Australia in 2016-17.
Also reaching six figures was Lot 61, a colt by Medaglia d’Oro from the Newhaven Park draft.
A son of the G1 South Australian Oaks-winning mare Invest made $400,000 to the bid of the Gai Waterhouse-Adrian Bott training partnership.
Lot 11, a Medaglia’s d’Oro colt from the Stakes-winning Snitzel mare Fireworks and Lot 54, a filly from the Fastnet Rock mare Impetuous made $280,000 and $250,000 respectively.
