Unforgetable Filly, winner of the G2 German 1,000 Guineas last season, landed her third Stakes race on Saturday, 11 August when landing the Listed Dick Hern Stakes with consummate ease. Run over a mile at Haydock, the daughter of Sepoy cruised through the race and when asked, went clear to record a facile eight-length victory over New Day Dawn (Dawn Approach), who grabbed some valuable Black Type on only her third career start.
Unforgetable Filly is out of the winning Oasis Dream mare Beautiful Filly and is from the family of G1 winner Fire The Groom – herself dam of Champion sprinter Stravinsky.
Sepoy has sired 24 Stakes performers worldwide including star runner Alizee, winner of a brace of G1’s last season at Randwick. He has sired a further five Group winners including G1 juvenile Dabyah and G3 National Stakes hero Marcel From Madrid. He will stand this coming season at a fee of $11,000 Inc GST at Northwood Park, VIC.
