Beginning on Tuesday 15th April, three nominations each to Exceed And Excel, Sepoy and Denman will be sold via the Darley website.
All auctions will begin at 9am EST before concluding at staggered intervals between 2pm and 4.30pm EST on Thursday 17th April. The nominations will have no reserve and will be sold with Darley’s standard pay on live foal terms.
Alastair Pulford, Darley’s Head of Sales in Australia said, “Our online auctions were a tremendous success last year. We have changed the format slightly this year and will hold all the auctions over a three-day period which will enable bidders to participate in multiple auctions at the one time.
In addition, this time we’re holding the auctions before we set our fees for the forthcoming season, so not only will the winning bidders be ensured guaranteed access, they will truly determine the price.”
Pulford continued, “Exceed And Excel is Australia’s reigning Champion sire and is enjoying another brilliant season, Denman’s first two-year-olds have had instant success and could not have been more impressive, and we have been inundated with bookings to Sepoy in his first two seasons at stud and his first foals are outstanding. They are three stallions that will be quickly booked out this year and there will be intense competition for these nominations.”
