The 2023 Darley Princess Series for three-year-old fillies starts this Saturday at Royal Randwick with the running of the G2 $300,000 Darley Silver Shadow Stakes over 1,200m as part of Winx Stakes Day.
It leads to a further three legs across the Sydney spring at Royal Randwick:
- G2 $300,000 Darley Furious Stakes over 1,200m on Saturday, 2 September;
- G2 $300,000 Darley Tea Rose Stakes over 1,400m on Saturday, 16 September;
- G1 $750,000 Darley Flight Stakes over 1,600m on Saturday, 30 September.
The Darley Princess Series provides owners and connections with Group racing status and vital Black Type, and the breeders of these fillies a chance to win four stallion nominations throughout the series to four of Darley’s world-class stallions.
The breeder of the G2 Darley Silver Shadow Stakes winning filly will receive a nomination to Darely first-season sire and G1-winning WFA sprinter, Paulele, while the G2 Darley Furious Stakes winning breeder will receive a nomination to G1-winning two and three-year-old Victor Ludorum.
The third leg of the series, the G2 Darley Tea Rose Stakes sees the winning breeder walk away with a nomination to four-time G1-winning World Champion, Ghaiyyath, whilst the grand final of the Darley Princess Series, the G1 Darley Flight Stakes offers the winning breeder access to the three-time G1-winning World Champion Sprinter, Bivouac.
