Cathryn Sophia took the lead shortly after the start and never looked back as she drew off for an impressive sixteen-and-one-quarter-length victory in the $100,000 Gin Talking Stakes at Laurel Park Dec. 5.
The two-year-old daughter of Street Boss has now won her two lifetime starts by a combined twenty-eight-and-one-quarter-lengths.
Bred in Maryland by Robert T. Manfuso, Cathryn Sophia is out of Sheave, an unraced daughter of Horse of the Year Mineshaft. Sheave is out of G2 Golden Rod Stakes winner Belterra, and is a half-sister to Stakes winner Taketheodds (by Street Sense).
Cathryn Sophia is one of 21 Stakes winners for Street Boss, among them G1 King's Bishop Stakes winner Capo Bastone and G1 Arkansas Derby winner, Danza.
