Bernardini filly becomes her sire's 20th Group winner
Two-year-old Bernardini filly Go Indy Go became the 20th Group or Graded winner for her sire with a dominant victory in the G3 SA Sires’ Produce Stakes over 1400m at Morphettville, April 12.
Sent out a short-priced favourite following a debut second in Listed company followed by another second placing in the G3 Breeders’ Stakes, Go Indy Go scored easily by over three lengths.
One of three juvenile Stakes performers for Bernardini this season, Go Indy Go is raced in partnership by her breeder Harry Perks. A full-sister to G2-placed Essay Raider, Go Indy Go is the second foal of Zabeel mare Elegant Eagle.
The sire of seven G1 winners including Boban, Ruud Awakening and To Honor And Serve, Bernardini enjoyed a great weekat the Inglis Easter yearling sale where his progeny averaged $216,250.
