Appearance wins Keith Nolan Classic
Appearance became the 46th Stakes winner for Commands when running out the strong winner of the G3 Keith F Nolan Classic over 1600m at Kembla Grange on March25.
Enjoying a lovely ride from Rod Quinn, Apperance was settled in fifth place along the inside and she was able to stay there into the straight, coming with a determined challenge to wear down the longtime leader She Goes To Rio to score.
A solid fourth in the G2 Surround Stakes on her previous outing Appearance has now won three of her six starts.
Bred by Darley, Appearance is out of the good racemare Disguise, a daughter of Grand Lodge and herself a winner of $277,479.
Appearance is a sister to the good filly Mascareri and their dam Disguise has a yearling filly by Strategic and a 2011 foal by Domesday.
Commands has sired more winners than any other stallion in Australia or New Zealand this season, his total of 112 in Australia including eight Stakes winners, headed by the brilliant sprinter Rain Affair and this seasons Black Opal Stakes winner Epaulette.
Commands has nine yearlings catalogued for the 2012 Australian Easter Yearling Sale that commences in Sydney on April 10 with yearlings out of G1 winner Our Egyptian Raine (lot 311)and G1 producer Making Fey (lot 263).
