Black Minx confirmed her status as one of the top two-year-olds in Queensland on Saturday with an easy victory in the Listed Sir Douglas Wadley 2yo Fillies Stakes.
By newly acquired Darley stallion Lonhro, she sat close to the fast early pace set by Calm Before, sprinting away to record an easy one-and-a-half length victory. This was her second Listed win of the campaign and she has been a model of consistency, now winning five of her six starts.
Sold for $260,000 as a yearling, she was bred by J E Abrahams and is the second foal out of the G2 winning Danehill mare, Faith Hill.
Currently Lonhro sits third in the first season sires table behind runaway leader Exceed And Excel and Falbrav, and has so far sired four Stakes horses from his first crop.
