In the highly anticipated $400,000 G3 Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream Park January 29, it was none other than Bernardini's Algorithms who stole the show to begin his three-year-old campaign with a victory. The colt remained unbeaten with the win for trainer Todd Pletcher and defeated Two-year-old Eclipse Champion Hansen with ease.
Algorithms was a two-year-old debut winner at Belmont, USA last June by more than five lengths. He annexed that victory taking an Allowance at Gulfstream Park in December.
In the 1600m of the G3 Holy Bull Stakes, Algorithms settled along the outside just off the pace in second. He began to edge up towards the lead coming around the final turn and sharply moved by Hansen in the stretch to secure the victory by four lengths for owner Starlight Racing.
